We have been working with the members of the Bee-ing Well group to help them to design and screen print their own range of garments and gift items which feature limited edition prints and a new logo identity. Using collage, drawing and screen printing, the group have explored the use of text, symbolism and positivity within their work.
They have produced a range of quality retail items which will go on sale locally and all money raised from the sale of the items will go directly back to the group, therefore enabling them to become self-sustainable and to continue to fund their own projects and activities.

“Sally and her team of dedicated and engaging staff from One69A delivered a ‘Bee-ing Well’ themed screen printing project over the late Summer to our group of adults, many of whom experience mental illness and learning disabilities. Some of our group had never drawn or painted in their lives, but Sally and her team’s warm and emphatic way of working, unlocked people’s creative imagination and self-belief, and within a short time, all were happily and confidently discussing and designing their personal affirmations. The results were amazing, being both inspirational and humbling.”

We got asked by our good friend Toby from New Analog to print some official Lee Scratch Perry and Horace Andy t-shirts of his designs. As massive fans of both artists this was an honour and privilege to do. As you can see below the designs are top notch and the printing came out pretty damn good too. These are available to buy from their official online stores.
I spent 2 days with year 2 of Castle Grove to make screen printed tshirts and printed fabric which will be made into wrist and arm adornments, all of which will be worn in the Brazilian carnival style parade that the school are taking part in this summer.
Our creations will took inspiration from exotic birds feathers, which will also reference the spectacular costumes of the rio carnival. Year 2 were given yellow and green as their colours.
