We ran a tshirt printing session with a group of young people who were working towards their Bronze Arts Award as part of a Summer Art College in Wakefield.
An element of the award asks the young people to nominate “Art Heroes” and these could be musicians, artists, actors….anyone creative who they find inspirational. The group reflected their art hero in the tshirt prints they created. The group will also learn how to set up and feature in their own photo shoot, wearing their tshirt.
Summer Arts Colleges are intensive educational projects designed for young people on Detention and Training Orders (DTOs) and those subject to Intensive Supervision and Surveillance (ISS). They re-engage these young people in education, training and employment through the provision of vibrant arts experiences.
