Araam: Breathing Space

one69A ran a workshop alongside the Araam: Breathing Space exhibition focusing on works by Zarah Hussain. We worked with year 4 from Rolls Crescent Primary School, Hulme to re create the patterns and shapes found in the art work.

Firstly we observed the work and made drawings of the shapes and patterns, we then discussed as a group what we could see within those patterns – we came up with a variety of interpretations ranging from geometric shapes to flowers.

We then made layered prints taking inspiration from our observational drawings. Brilliant work!

Araam: Breathing Space is open to the public until 21st April 2011 at Zion Arts Centre, Hulme, Manchester.  www.zionarts.com
